iPad Accessories Leather Case
There are very few iPad Accessories on the market that I would spend time reviewing, let alone buying, this case from Saddleback leather is an exception. I like to keep things Spartan when traveling… I learned as a young boy that it’s best to travel light. So, I don’t take anything with me that won’t make me more productive or more efficient. If I had to pick just one of my admittedly few iPad Accessories to take with me, it would be this case!

Saddleback Leather Case
There are countless iPad cases on the market… Some of them are pretty cool, many of them are beautiful, and others do offer a great deal of functionality. If you ask me this case is all of those things. It’s a throwback to another time. There are no clasps, buttons, velcro, or anything else like that could break. It’s just leather and craftsmanship – SIMPLE. It’s made of full-grain leather. Most leathers are made from the weaker top grain, genuine or bonded. I never realized this before, but the top layer is the reason it has that wonderful rich patina that is missing from so many leather products.
- Soft pigskin interior to protect the surfaces of your iPad
- Cutouts strategically placed where they’re needed
- No zippers, buttons, or velcro (refreshing)
- Attractive is a rugged kind of way
- Guaranteed for 100 years
This case from Saddleback Leather is one of my all time favorite iPad Accessories.
100 Year Guarantee
Now there’s no way anyone is going to need a 100 year guarantee for something as transient as a computer case, especially when the computer is a second generation tablet like the iPad. There are already rumors about the iPad 3 floating around. If we’ve learned anything in the computer industry over the past couple of decades, its that things change – and change fast. Still, there’s something warm, comforting, and wonderful about owning something that is crafted to last a century.

Things I really like
- Fit and Finish – Craftsmanship
- Choice of colors without giving up the true leather nature of the thing.
- The patina is that of real leather… not vinyl or some other wanna be material… Just real leather
- Attention to detail (choice of inner leather sticks with quality, but ensures softness and safety)
Things I think are missing or that could be done better
- I don’t have a single suggestion here. For me, this is perfect.
